If you’re not a beer afficionado, you may wonder what the difference is between kegged beer and traditional real ale. The word keg is a variant of the Middle English word kag which originated from Scandinavia. These days kegging essentially enables the production of lightly carbonated beer which is served at a lower temperature. With the British summer allegedly looming, kegged beer is really worth considering as it’s generally considered to produce a more refreshing pint.
