Keg beer first for Brewshed

May 11th 2017       Beer, Brewshed, Gusto, The Beerhouse

If you’re not a beer afficionado, you may wonder what the difference is between kegged beer and traditional real ale. The word keg is a variant of the Middle English word kag which originated from Scandinavia. These days kegging essentially enables the production of lightly carbonated beer which is served at a lower temperature. With the British summer allegedly looming, kegged beer is really worth considering as it’s generally considered to produce a more refreshing pint.

We’ve just kegged our first beer and decided to use some of the latest batch of our seasonal beer – Red IPA – for this very purpose. Kegged Red IPA is available now at The Beerhouse on our keg beer wall – let us know what you think on Twitter @brewshedbrewery and @burybeerhouse #KeggedRedIPA.
